Just another Edublogs.org weblog

FINAL

PART ONE

Three top favorite blogs?

  1. I really liked Liz‘s because of how organized that it was, and I really loved the pictures that she had taken. Another thing that I really liked about her blog was how her pictures were showing, and I’m going to want to go through my blog and do what she did.
  2. I think my favorite one out of all of the blogs was Calysta‘s. I chose her’s because of how well she was with photography, and I’ve always really loved her pictures. She had her blog very organized, and the pictures were really beautiful.
  3. Another blog that I also really liked was Mimi‘s blog. I like her’s because of how organized it is also, and her pictures are really interesting.

PART TWO

My favorite 3 projects?

  1. I really enjoyed Project 7, done by Amber. It was actually one that I tried, just to a different picture and a different tutorial. Her picture turned out a lot better, and I really like it.
  2. The second one I liked was Project 7, which was done by Calysta. I watched her edit that picture, and I have yet to attempt to do the same, but it was definitely interesting.
  3. The final one that I really liked was another Project 7, but this one was done by Mimi. I enjoyed her pictures, and how organized this one was. I loved what she did with them as well, and I found it really interesting.

Self-Evaluation Project 7

For my 7th project, I wanted to continue working with Photoshop, learn more tricks that I can accomplish, and I wanted to make my photos a lot more different but also I want them look very interesting in any way that I can. Hopefully, I can get more work done than I got done in the last project. (:

Timeline?

  • Gather ideas & resources to use.
  • Save photos.
  • Save links for journal entry and/or progress entries.
  • Download photos from Photobucket onto desktop.
  • Download to Flikr.
  • Edit photos in Photoshop.
  • Save to desktop.
  • Upload to Flikr account.
  • Share in progress and or/ journal entries.

My first idea with this project was that I learned how to create a reflecting on any picture using photoshop.

The problems that I came across were in the steps of blending the two pictures, or layers, and actually having the space between the two blend together. But I finally got it after a bunch of tries.

The second thing that I wanted to do was that I learned to make a picture that I took last year to look like it was pop art. One of the problems that I came across was how the photo did not look like it was pop art, even if I tried the procedure several times, over and over again. Even though this happened, I still liked how the picture turned out.

Project 6 Self Eval (:

What I really wanted to do for this project was to learn more about what I can do with pictures on Photoshop. I already knew how to mess with black and white photos, and I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to learn, but I just mostly wanted to explore things more with Photoshop.

As I was looking online, I got different ideas about different things that I could do. What I accomplished was learning how to make teeth whiter in pictures, make a picture of myself look “Modern,” but just looked really old and weird to me, and another one just looks really weird. I’m not sure what it’s called though, but I think it looks different. Hah (:

What made things difficult was overcoming the problem of how different videos or different sites just didn’t make that much sense to me at all, and I had to keep looking, or restarting on my picture all over again – which is why I actually didn’t get as many things done during this project as I really wanted to. That was hard, but I want to continue this and make way more progress on the next project.

(:

Continuing with Project 6.

I really wanted to learn how to make someone’s teeth whiter. I was looking on You Tube just in “Photoshop Tutorials” and I found a video that would help me out. I ran into a couple problems with this. The first one was finding the right tool to select the area that I wanted to edit. Each one was really different, but I finally got the right one. The second problem that I ran into was at first – and I still don’t know why it happened; I was fixing the Hue & Saturation of the whole entire picture, when  I only wanted to edit the teeth.

Timeline?

It took me forever to figure out which picture to edit, but I finally found one! So I saved it to my desktop from my photobucket account, then put the original into my flikr, and then edited it. It took me awhile to get started on it because it seemed really confusing to me.

All of them are located in this album: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bluexbird008/sets/72157623555590017/

On task blog(:

Amber and I wanted to take pictures today, but the cabinet was locked. So I learned to take advantage of when LeDuc’s here.

Sad day! :(

Progress & Journal Entry

I learned how to make a picture of myself look “Modern”. But in my opinion, it looked really odd. I like the picture that is more clear better, because one of my problems was trying to make it look less like just a bunch of blobs. Picture two is actually my favorite, and I like the outcome of it, even if it isn’t quite clear.

Pictures?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/bluexbird008/?saved=1

This took me a few days to learn, because I had to keep looking for websites that made it clear enough for me to use certain tools in Photoshop. The first one that I used wasn’t making sense to me at all, and that was also another problem that I ran into.

Resources?

This one worked: http://www.freeonlineclasses.net/photoshop-tutorials/photo-effects/modern-art.html

This one didn’t much because it just didn’t make sense to me, or I messed up. But I will try again soon: http://www.helium.com/items/714713-how-to-make-a-photo-look-old-in-photoshop

This one didn’t either because it made my picture blank, so I did something wrong: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Modern-Photo-Look-Vintage
